HikeQuest Tours & Safaris is a youth-driven Kenyan adventure company that creates unforgettable outdoor experiences. We connect people with nature while promoting friendship, wellness and exploration.
Our Story
HikeQuest started the way most Kenyan hiking groups start. A handful of friends, one matatu hired for a Saturday and a plan to walk the Ngong Hills ridge from end to end.
What kept it going was the people who came back. Word spread through campuses and workplaces, the group outgrew one vehicle then outgrew a second, and the trips widened from day hikes into camping weekends, cycling at Hell's Gate, game drives and road trips to the coast.
We are still a youth-driven outfit and we intend to stay one. The point has never been to sell a package holiday. It is to get people outdoors somewhere in this country they have not seen yet, at a price a young Kenyan can actually pay.

Guides who know the route
Every trip has a lead guide at the front and a sweeper at the back. Nobody walks alone and nobody gets left behind.
One price, no surprises
The figure you see covers transport, entry fees and the guide. Anything extra is listed before you pay rather than collected at the gate.
Groups that stay small
We cap numbers so a hike stays a hike instead of a queue. It is also how people end up leaving with new friends.
Safety taken seriously
First aid kits on every trip, a trained responder in every group and a turn-back call we are willing to make.

- How do I book a place on a hike?
- Fill in the booking form on the adventure page or send us a WhatsApp message. We confirm your place once payment is received. Places on popular dates go quickly, so book early.
- What does the price include?
- Every listing has an includes section. As a rule it covers return transport from Nairobi, park or reserve entry fees and a guide. Meals are included on camping and overnight trips only.
- Do I need to be fit?
- For Ngong Hills or a game drive, no. For Elephant Hill or Point Lenana, yes, and we will tell you honestly before you pay. Every listing carries a difficulty rating.
- What happens if it rains?
- Hikes run in the rain. We only cancel for conditions that make a route genuinely unsafe, such as flooding in the Hell's Gate gorge. If we cancel, you can move to another date or take a refund.
- Can you organise a private trip for my group?
- Yes. Most of our team-building and road-trip work is private groups. Tell us the group size, the date and the budget and we will come back with a plan and a cost per head.
- How do I pay?
- M-Pesa to the number on our contact page. Send us the confirmation message and we will mark your place as confirmed.
