Explore breathtaking trails and conquer mountains.
From Ksh 1,500per person
- Duration
- Day trip to 3 days
- Difficulty
- Beginner to advanced
- Group size
- 6 to 40 people
- Where
- Ngong Hills, Elephant Hill, Mount Longonot, Mount Kenya
Our hikes run every other weekend and they are the reason most people find us. We start beginners on the Ngong Hills ridge, move them up to the Mount Longonot crater rim then on to Elephant Hill in the Aberdares. Anyone who wants the full thing goes to Point Lenana on Mount Kenya over three days.
Every hike leaves Nairobi early, travels together and comes back the same evening unless it is a mountain trip. A lead guide sets the pace at the front while a sweeper stays with the slowest walker, so nobody is ever left behind on a trail.
Where this takes you
Ngong Hills
A seven-peak ridge walk on Nairobi's doorstep with the Rift Valley on one side and the city on the other. About 4 to 5 hours.
Mount Longonot
A steep climb to the crater rim at 2,776 metres then a full loop around the crater. About 5 to 6 hours.
Elephant Hill
The one hikers talk about afterwards. Bamboo forest, moorland then a cold summit at 3,590 metres in the Aberdares.
Point Lenana
The trekker's summit of Mount Kenya at 4,985 metres, reached over three days with a sunrise push on the final morning.
